I've been a lifelong sufferer of ADHD. It wreaked havoc when I was a kid and had a devil of a time with school work. Even early in my career it became obvious I would need medication in order to reach my full potential. Thankfully that has helped a lot, but even with medication you still need appropriate tools and scaffolding in place to help be effective in life.
A lot of the tooling out there for todos, notes, and managing your life... just don't work for me. I'm not sure why, but they all fall short in one way or another. BUT rather than give up hope, I decided I'd try to create my own... if for no other reason than if something isn't working with it I can change it to make it what I need.
And so - DLCC was born!
That's rad - but what does it actually do?
It's most basic features are thus:
- Take notes in rich markdown, including an easy linker to enable linking to other existing notes (with auto-backlinks)
- Add todos (also with markdown support and linkability to notes)
- CalDav integration to bring in a read only calendar
- Track your day's events, todos, the weather and current news headlines (from several pre-selected sources or provide an RSS url for your own sources).
But - where it gets really powerful is with it's agent framework.
Agent framework?
Yes! The agent framework lets you deploy a network of specialized agents that perform discrete tasks. For example, right now I have agents that crawl the web looking for hits on specific information I'm looking for (both clear web and darknet). I also have agents that can be given a target company and use OSINT techniques to build a report on the company, leadership, products, sentiment, and revenue streams / valuations. But really, an agent could do anything you wanted it to do, as long as it can be coded up.
This makes it very very expandable and very capable. I'm excited to see where I can take it and what I can do with it long term.
