The Beverage Vault is a web application that allows users to track and share what they've been drinking and what their thoughts were. It can be self hosted, and supports activitypub so users on different instances can follow each other just as easily as users on the same instance.
The idea for this came about because my dad and I often talk about different wines or bourbons we've tried, but sometimes we forget the name or the specific details... and we wanted a way to more easily accomplish it.
Main Features
- Both tried and to-try vaults, to track beverages you've tried and ones you want to try.
- Share with friends to allow them to easily import items into their vault (default to to-try).
- Track Wine, Whiskey, Beer, Cocktails, and mixers.
- Include photos with entries.
- ActivityPub integration allows others in the broader activitypub ecosystem to follow and consume your posts.
- Activity Feed shows a consolidated view of what your friends are drinking.
- Choice of database backend, with support for MySQL and SQLite
- MFA logins using either TOTP or WebAuthn (FIDO2)

- Recommendations for cocktails you can make with the supplies you have on hand.
- Shopping lists for cocktails you want to make, but don't have all of the supplies for.
- Support for Postgres for database backend.
